By starting his own photography business, Jason Frizzell of Little
Rock hopes that he can turn a long-time hobby into his life’s work.
Aabstract Studios is currently for hire in the wedding, portrait and
freelance arenas of photography.Frizzell also shoots landscape,
abstract and freelance photography and has examples of this work at
The Starving Artist Cafe & The Arts Scene's gallery.

As a junior at Parkview High School in Little Rock, Frizzell
signed up for a photography class. His “wonderful mother” bought his
first camera, which did not leave his hands for years. Gaining
experience by working on the newspaper and yearbook staffs in high
school and college prepared him to fulfill a request for a series of
prints for the remodeling of Doctor’s Hospital. Six examples of his
work can be found on the hospital’s fourth floor.

“We can do a $5,000 wedding or a $500 wedding,” Frizzell said,
referring to the price of the photo portfolio.

Operating out of Frizzell’s home, Aabstract Studios escapes high
overhead costs and offers services that fit any price range.

Loyal customers made it possible for Frizzell, a waiter at The
Faded Rose, to fund the start of Aabstract Studios. As he
continues to wait tables at Sonny Williams, Frizzell will gradually
build his business with plans to “travel and do magazine work.”
